School Psychologists

San Joaquin County SELPA Psychological Services is made up of exemplary credentialed school psychologists with a variety of expertise. The psychologists work in rural districts, county programs, charter schools, non-public schools, and non-public agencies, and at the regional level. Psychological Services provide assessment and specialized counseling for special education students being served by San Joaquin County Office of Education and provide direct services to small districts within San Joaquin County SELPA. To meet the wide range of student needs, the department offers counseling to identified students, consultation to district psychologists, collaboration with district personnel, psychological evaluations, and consultation regarding special education law, current assessment practices, and ethical issues. The Psychological Roundtable is a bi-monthly activity of San Joaquin County SELPA Psychological Services. With high-interest topics selected from a yearly interest survey, SELPA psychologists present a two-hour information and training session for interested psychologists from SELPA districts and surrounding SELPAs.
