State and Federal Information

State and Federal Programs staff acts as a liaison between the California Department of Education (CDE) and local districts when assessment and accountability issues or questions arise. A State and Federal Programs Coordinator attends the Regional Assessment Network meetings for Region 6, where members of the CDE Assessment staff and regional representatives throughout the State discuss State tests, such as the California Assessment of Student Progress and Performance (CAASPP), and English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC). The State and Federal Programs Coordinator also attends the State and Federal Programs Directors meeting at CDE which provides technical support to local educational agencies (LEAs) on state and federal funded programs. Updates on State and Federal Programs and Assessments are then communicated to local districts.
