The San Joaquin County Board of Education Seeks Applicants for Vacant Seat
The San Joaquin County Board of Education (Board) is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board from Trustee Area 3. The Board plans to make a provisional appointment on Friday, August 30, 2024. The person selected will be appointed to serve the remainder of the current term which is through June 2026.
The Trustee Area 3 boundary map can be viewed here. The eligibility criteria are provided in the application. Residency in Trustee Area 3 can be verified for interested candidates by completing the District Verification form here and returning it to the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voter’s Candidate Services office at candidates@sjgov.org.
Applications are available in person at the San Joaquin County Office of Education, Office of the Superintendent, 2922 Transworld Drive, Stockton, CA, online here, or by emailing Marlene Acosta at maacosta@sjcoe.net. Applications are due back to the San Joaquin County Office of Education, Office of the Superintendent, by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024.
The Board plans to review the applications, interview eligible candidates, and make a provisional appointment at a Special San Joaquin County Board of Education Board meeting on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., held at the San Joaquin County Office of Education.
