Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS)

The San Joaquin County Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) is designed to improve quality of learning and development programs in the areas of child development and school readiness, teachers and teaching, as well as program and environment. QRIS is a framework that utilizes tools and resources to assess and improve the quality of early-learning programs. Participants have an opportunity to learn about and use the following to support their program improvement efforts:

• Quality standards
• A process for supporting quality improvement
• Provision of incentives
• A process for monitoring standards

Staff from participating QRIS programs are eligible to attend free or low-cost trainings. If you are interested in attending one of our trainings listed.
