Pre-Qualification of Vendors/Bid Process

The San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) requires all bidders on public works projects being undertaken by the SJCOE to meet the following criteria:

  1. 1. All bidders must be an approved contractor. To become an approved contractor, interested vendors must complete and submit a Contractors Approval Application , which must then be authorized by the SJCOE. The current SJCOE Approved Contractors List is available for review.
  2. 2. For projects with a cost estimate exceeding $175,000, bidders must also be pre-qualified by the SJCOE. (More information and application links, below.)

Pre-Qualification

San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) will conduct the pre-qualification process and accept applications from now through April 10. The next application window will be open from November 1 through November 10.

Contractors must submit a fully completed pre-qualification questionnaire along with all required documentation during these designated application periods. SJCOE will review the submitted documents and assign a pre-qualification rating to each contractor, determining their eligibility to bid on projects of varying sizes and scopes.

Approved pre-qualification status is valid for one (1) calendar year from the date the qualification notice is issued. Please access the pre-qualifications documents, below:
