The San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) one.Charter Academies serve a wide range of students of all ages in multiple locations across San Joaquin County. The charter school is authorized by the SJCOE and has an independent governing board.

one.Charter Academy of Visual and Performing Arts

one.Charter Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) gives students with artistic aspirations a sanctuary that provides them with the freedom to use their creativity to learn while letting their thought process flourish. At one.Charter AVPA the arts are integrated into the core curriculum. Enrichment classes are offered. These include courses in art, acting, poetry, music, pottery, and more. Student experience or formal training in the arts is not required.

There are two locations:
one.Charter AVAP Main
1271 N. Main Street, Manteca
Site houses a state-of-the-art sound studio

one.Charter AVAP Bianchi
1111 East Bianchi Road, Stockton
Site houses a pottery kiln

one.Charter Career Readiness Academy

one.Charter Career Readiness Academy is a program designed for fifth-year high school seniors who are behind in academic credits and want to complete their high school education while gaining career and job skills. one.Charter Career Readiness Academy is a partnership program that helps San Joaquin County Office of Education high school students transition successfully to adult life.

With the assistance of the one.Charter Career Readiness Technician, job shadowing and apprenticeship opportunities are provided to help students gain experience and confidence. Teachers, counselors, and staff help navigate students using an online hybrid model to connect education and employment skills This opportunity greatly enhances a student’s ability to develop goals and dreams from work to school.

one.Charter Come Back Kids Academy

Come Back Kids (CBK) is a free, mostly online educational program that is offered through the SJCOE’s County Operated Schools and Programs Division that can help anyone 18 years and older earn their high school diploma. CBK is an independent study program that allows individuals the opportunity to complete the necessary coursework to obtain a high school diploma through flexible, individualized schedules. This program will help adults who have wanted to advance in their jobs or education but have found that not having a high school diploma has held them back.

There are program locations in Stockton and Manteca.

one.Charter Elementary Academy K-6

one.Charter Elementary Academy K-6 is a credentialed kindergarten through sixth grade school for children in San Joaquin County. The goal is to satisfy the physical, emotional, and educational needs of children in transition. The school utilizes a strong academic program with Common Core curriculum and a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and technology. The academic day is from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Enrichment activities are from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

one.Charter Elementary Academy K-6 is a partnership with TLC Foundation. Counselors and clinicians are available to assist children through trauma-associated stress. Psycho-educational assessments and follow-up services are also provided to students in need through TLC Foundation.
