Through a longstanding collaboration with the Human Service Agency, the San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) offers several job-training courses under the California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Welfare to Work program.

SJCOE offers several Career Technical Education (CTE) programs to CalWORKs participants including warehouse training, culinary arts, construction technology, and office technology courses. All courses are held at the CalWORKs Employment Center seven hours a day for a period of 12 weeks, and consist of classroom instruction as well as on-the-job-training at various companies through business partnerships.

Individuals interested in any courses offered in partnership with CalWORKs must be receiving benefits and referred by a Human Services Agency (HSA) case manager.
