Distance Learning and Instructional Support At-home
-
>Each school site is providing distance learning for all students, in a digital or non-digital format, based on the student’s internet and device access at home.
-
>Teachers will virtually contact students daily through digital platforms such as email, phone, and Google classroom.
-
>For additional learning opportunities, quick links to our adopted core curriculum (SpringBoard, IMPACT, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Benchmark) can be accessed through the Clever portal: www.clever.com/in/sjcoe.
-
>Students can access the Clever portal using their SJCOE Google account (the same one that they use to log into the Chromebooks at the school sites).
Families without internet access at home can apply for two free months of service with Comcast through its internet essentials program at www.internetessentials.com or by calling 1-800-934-6489. Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the nation are also available to all for free, including non-Xfinity internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, please visit wifi.xfinity.com.
You can expect to receive information about distance learning and nutritional services by email, phone, text, Facebook, and Peachjar. You can also access the San Joaquin County Office of Education COVID-19 resource page at www.sjcoe.org/healthsafety.
Our students, families, and staff are our first priority, and we will continue to provide these services during this time of uncertainty.
Sincerely,
Janine Kaeslin, Assistant Superintendent, County Operated Schools and Programs
