Our Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center is seeking volunteers to lead student groups on field trips!
Who: High school students, and adults. No prior experience needed. Volunteers need to be able to transport themselves to Durham Ferry in Manteca and volunteer in inclement weather outdoors.
When: September - May, 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Once/twice a week/month (volunteer can choose).
What: Help lead visiting student groups on hikes or at stations.
Why: This is a great opportunity to learn and teach young people about local ecosystems, inspire a love of nature, and develop leadership, public speaking, and teaching skills.
