The Artists-in-Schools Program is designed to bring professional artists in residence to county students, grades K-12. The program’s goal is to improve arts education for teachers and students by encouraging creativity and self-expression during the four- to eight-week residency sessions.
Residencies are available in the visual arts, dance, and performing arts. The artists work with each of the participating classes for one hour per week for up to eight weeks, as contracted. Lesson plans are developed according to the artist’s area of expertise and are California Standards-based. For more information visit, Artists-in-Schools (google.com)
