The San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) is pleased to announce this year’s San Joaquin County Teacher of the Year finalists.
All Teacher of the Year finalists and Classified Employee of the Year winners will be honored on June 9 at the San Joaquin County Classified Employees and Teacher of the Year Awards Celebration Dinner. County classified winners were announced in March.
Honorees will be recognized for their outstanding commitment and dedication to education and San Joaquin County students. The 2021-22 Teacher of the Year will be announced at the dinner, sponsored by Premier Community Credit Union. Proceeds from the event will go toward student events and academic competitions such as the Academic Decathlon, Spelling Bee, Science Olympiad, Mock Trial, and more. The dinner will also be an occasion to recognize our county’s retiring superintendents: Ron Costa (Escalon Unified School District) and Brian Stephens (Tracy Unified School District).
Winners of San Joaquin County Teacher of the Year and Classified Employees of the Year are county nominees for California Department of Education recognition programs.
