Nearly 25 schools in San Joaquin County are registered to compete in the San Joaquin County Science and Engineering Fair. About 300-350 projects are expected to be submitted by more than 700 K-12 students in individual, group, and whole-class projects. This year, all students entering the fair have the potential to earn ribbons, medals, and a portion of more than $3,800 in prize money. Awards are determined by the judges’ evaluations of the projects. Teachers who attend the awards ceremony on March 2 will be entered to win one of 10 $100 NASCO gift cards.
