Top San Joaquin County spelling champs compete for slots in state competition

The San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) is hosting the 20th Annual San Joaquin County Spelling Bee on Wednesday, Dec. 7. Students in grades four to six compete in the Elementary Division, and students in grades seven to nine compete in the Junior High Division. The Spelling Bee is open to students in public and private schools in the county. The top two winners in each division earn a plaque, receive a Barnes & Noble gift card, and qualify for the state Spelling Bee.
