Salmonids in the Classroom 2017

Dates: Oct 7 2017 9:00AM - Oct 7 2017 2:30PM

Location: San Joaquin County Office of Education - WEC

Learn how to raise salmon or trout from eggs in your classroom and become qualified to receive eggs from the hatchery.

Raising salmon in the classroom is an opportunity to teach students to understand, respect and protect freshwater, estuarine and marine ecosystems, and to recognize how all humans are linked to these complex environments.

Training will include ways to integrate the EEI Curriculum into your activities and will earn you sets of two classroom units of the EEI materials.

The fee of $15 covers lunch and teacher hand-outs.

By registering for this event, you have agreed to be added to our mailing list. If you do not wish to be on our mailing list, you may contact Ann Carl at acarl@sjcoe.net.

Cancellation Policy: If the workshop is canceled by SJCOE, registrants will be notified in advance and will obtain a full refund. No refunds will be given for participant cancellations.
