Teachers will be introduced to a variety of effective close reading strategies designed for students developing their literacy. This session will feature a week-long model of an interactive read aloud unit complete with high leverage literacy tasks, student work, and a lesson planning template. There will be opportunities to apply new learning throughout the day. All lessons exemplify CCSS ELA/Literacy with integrated ELD using ideas advocated in the ELA/ELD Framework.
