You are invited to register for Infant/Toddler Seminar 2.
This 6-hour seminar will explore the I/T Learning and Development Program Guidelines. The Program Guidelines provide information about how to provide high-quality early care and education, including recommendations for program policies and the curriculum planning process that will improve program services to infants and toddlers. Participants will interact with CDE’s I/T Program Guidelines, related DVDs, and Guidelines workbook.
Goals of the Seminar
Designed to support continuous improvement efforts of infant/ toddler programs, the seminar will help participants to:
Understand the connection among the components of the California Infant/Toddler Learning and Development System, including the Foundations, Program Guidelines, and Curriculum Framework;
Recognize and support the central role of families in young children’s learning and development;
Create high-quality learning environments which effectively support learning;
Identify ways to use print materials and the DVD for the Program Guidelines to support partnerships with families, staff development, and other program continuous improvement efforts; and
Reflect on their childcare program’s strengths, identify areas for growth, and create a plan of action for continuous improvement
