Kathy Giordano, TSA Education Specialist, will provide an overview of the symptoms and diagnosis of Tourette Syndrome as well as several associated disorders: OCD, ADHD, anxiety, dysgraphia, executive function deficit, oppositional defiant disorder, and sensory processing issues. The remainder of the presentation will focus on how to minimize the environmental factors that can exacerbate tics in the classroom and will provide ideas for behavior management strategies that can optimize teaching and learning for all. Participants will receive several free video resources to help with classroom accommodations.
