SB1292 is an alternate program to CLAD certification for teachers with a Designated Subject or a Service Credential with a special class authorization. Learn strategies for assisting English Learners in the mastery of language and literacy skills, as well as the rationale for those strategies. Assessment will be an integral part of this series. Ongoing assessment will include development and completion of a portfolio that demonstrates individual classroom use of SDAIE methodologies. In accordance with SB1292 guidelines, there will be a final assessment essay at the conclusion of the course.
