State and Federal Programs staff coordinates all Assessment and Accountability programs for the county Local Education Agency (LEA), and acts as a liaison between the California Department of Education (CDE) and local districts when assessment and accountability issues or questions arise. A State and Federal Programs Coordinator attends the Regional Assessment Network meetings for Region 6, where members of the CDE Assessment staff and regional representatives throughout the State discuss State tests, such as the Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR), California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE), and California English Language Development Test (CELDT). Resulting updates on testing programs are then communicated on to local districts.
